QSC KC12 LIVING ROOM CONCERT

Website kc12concert
Last Monday, together with our client Demo Productions, we had the opportunity to experience the QSC KC12 Powered 3-Way Column Loudspeaker in action during Lumière Jazz Nights in Maastricht. Goleine, a unique jazz/folk music collective, performed in a small, L-shaped room with a real living room atmosphere. A challenging setting, therefore, in terms of both acoustics and sightlines.

With its 3-way design and 3,000 W Class D power amplification, the KC12 filled the room effortlessly without sounding aggressive. Vocals and instruments remained perfectly separated while simultaneously forming a homogeneous overall sound – exactly what you want for a listening concert.

Visually, the K Column is elegant and slim; the speakers barely took up any space and blended organically into the living room decor. That understated design, available in black or white, makes the KC12 a logical choice for stylish listening concerts, church services, or corporate events where aesthetics matter.

Curious how the KC12 can enhance your performance or installation? Contact our team – we would be happy to let you hear (and see) what this column speaker can do.

The wide horizontal coverage of 145° ensured that visitors in the “bend” of the L-shaped setup were fully immersed in the sound, while the directional vertical dispersion of 35° reached the audience at the back just as clearly.

The KC12 consists of a compact 12” subwoofer (response down to 40 Hz) and a slim mid/high column with a 1-inch compression driver and QSC LEAF™ waveguide, flanked by two 4-inch midrange drivers. This configuration delivers a surprisingly mature full-range reproduction while keeping the total weight low.

Setup took barely minutes: plug-and-play DSP presets, an integrated pole mount, and a handy form factor make the system ideal for mobile artists, small stages, and AV productions that need to switch gears quickly.
